Spreading hope to children in need this Christmas
Gift of Hope is a Christmas Assistance Program that provides Christmas gifts to underprivileged children ages 0 - 17 in Butte County. All gifts are hand-picked according to each child's needs and desires.
Please note that the deadline for online application was Sunday, October 9.

Fill out the online application for all of your children by Sunday, October 9. Make sure you have their clothing and shoe sizes, as well as lists of their needs and wants ready!
Eligibility Requirements
To take part in Gift of Hope, you must complete the online application for your child(ren) by Sunday, October 9, and meet the following eligibility criteria:

You live in Butte County, CA;

Your family has low-income status OR has been displaced by a recent wildfire;

Your child(ren) are between the ages of 0 and 17;

You are the parent or the legal guardian of all the children you register; and
-
You are not registered with another Christmas assistance program [such as Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, etc.]
After completing the online application, you MUST attend the mandatory In-Person Registration and bring all required documents.

Your application will be considered abandoned if you do not attend the In-Person Registration.
**PLEASE NOTE that we cannot guarantee the amount, quality or specificity of the gifts your child(ren) will receive. You must pick up the gifts in person in December because we do not have the capacity to deliver any gifts to you.

How do I receive Christmas assistance for my child(ren) through Gift of Hope?You need to complete the online application by October 9, 2022. After completing the online application, you MUST attend an in-person registration on Thursday, October 13, at The Father's House Church (2833 Fort Wayne Street, Oroville, CA) with the required documents. Your application will be denied if you do not attend the in-person registration. At the in-person registration, you will receive a time to pick up your child(ren)’s gifts in December.

What is the eligibility requirement?To be eligible, your child(ren) must be between the ages of 0 and 17 and live in Butte County. You must be the parent or legal guardian. You will need to show proof of low income status OR provide FEMA documents to show that your family have been affected by a recent wildfire. You are not eligible to sign up for Gift of Hope if you have already signed up for another Christmas assistance program, such as Angel Tree or Toys for Tots.

Can I sign up my grandchild / niece / nephew / a friend's child?No. If you are not the parent or legal guardian of the child, then you cannot sign them up. This includes grandchild, niece, nephew or friend's child. You also cannot enroll the same child more than once.

When do I pick up my child(ren)’s gifts?You will pick up your child(ren)'s gifts in December on our giveaway days. At the In-Person Registration, you will receive a time to pick your family’s gifts. You MUST pick up the presents in person at the time you have chosen. We do not hold any gifts after the giveaway days. We are also unable to deliver any gifts to you.

Can you deliver my child(ren)’s gifts?Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver any gifts.

When is the deadline to sign up for Gift of Hope?The last day to enroll in Gift of Hope is Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Where and when is the mandatory In-Person Registration?The In-Person Registration takes place on Thursday, October 13, between 9 AM and 7 PM at The Father's House Church (2833 Fort Wayne Street, Oroville, CA).

What do I need to bring to the Mandatory In-Person Registration on Thursday, October 13?(1) Proof of age for each child (for example, their birth certificate); and (2) Proof of your family's low income status (for example, MediCal card, Calfresh card, or California benefits ID card) OR FEMA documents with a Butte County address to show that your family has been affected by a recent wildfire.
