COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Homeless Outreach

Thursdays 6-8 PM

We get to be Jesus to the world around us, which means loving and serving those right in front of us.  Many people live in homelessness throughout Oroville, and we believe that love looks like stopping our busy lives to build relationships with these neighbors.

Every Thursday, you can be part of a team that goes out to serve the homeless community. One Thursday of the month we go to the Oroville Rescue Mission, and the other Thursdays are spent bringing food, prayer, and company to people in homelessness.

Meet at the Father's House Church at 5:50 PM on Thursdays. For more information, contact Miruna Veenhuis.

Food Bank

Fridays 12:45-2:30 PM

1 in 5 children in Butte County experience food insecurity, which means they don't have consistent access to a sufficient quantity of nutritious food. Studies show that food insecurity hinders school performance and can lead to increased health issues for children as they grow up.

The French Family Food Bank is a distribution center that provides food to families in need each week so that no child has to go without. Since 2006, the French Family Food Bank has been feeding over a thousand people a month.

Every Friday, our Mount of Olives Food Bank, supplied with food by the French Family Food Bank, provides boxes of food to families and individuals in need. Many of our neighbors depend on us as the only weekly food bank in town, and the demand is rising. We would love to have you join us at the Mount of Olives Food Bank as we love our neighbors in this way.

If you'd like to help out with our Friday food bank, meet at the back entrance of the Father's House Church at 12:45 PM!
